Yes Soundguy. That's exactly or almost exactly what mine looks like, only difference is that the steel bar from the pivot to the shock absorber attachment is straight on mine, not bent up like it is in the picture you posted. Was this Monroe seat an option at the dealer or some kind of aftermarket deal?
I bid on and won one of the Farmall springs last night on eBay so I'll see if it fits. I did a search on eBay for "Farmall seat" and up came one with 11 minutes to go. So I bid and won right off, no wait.
The 'donuts' comment was kind of tongue-in-cheek, I keep the tractor in a garage and have for 30 years so I didn't think it could rust. Anyway, for 30 years I've hopped up on the tractor and plopped myself down on the seat and the spring just barely bottoms out...except the other day. Funny thing after it broke, I hopped on the tractor a couple of more times and plopped down and ....what a surprise! It felt like when you were a kid and another kid pulled the chair out from under you! Old habits die hard I guess, so I want another spring. Thanks for your help guys.
