I'm not sure you'd believe it if I told you, Neil./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif And not sure I could even remember.
I've mostly been helping my brother, who decided to sell out lock, stock, and barrel, and go back to RV living, so I helped him (here in my shop) build 4 big signs to put out for a weekend garage sale. When the cold front hit here early Saturday, I thought that would put a real damper on things. Boy, was I wrong! Crowds started arriving Saturday before daylight and by dark Sunday we had just about sold everything; tools, appliances, furniture, household items, a computer system, and even his '86 Suzuki Sidekick (that Sidekick is in excellent condition for its age, his wife went to town in it Friday morning, then Friday afternoon, the starter wouldn't work/w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif). So we pulled it to my place and changed out a starter right quick. We sold one guy so much stuff he had to buy my tiltbed trailer to haul it all./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
I finally got all the limbs picked up around my place that the wind blew down Saturday morning. And I re-planted the turnips and radishes that had already sprouted and were killed by the late cold front. And I got the cucumbers, yellow squash, and zucchini planted.
And I'm trying to get ready to try to sell my place, tractor, implements, tools, and all.
And it's the time of year for the crappie to start up the creeks to spawn (caught the first one this afternoon)./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif Have to take time to do a little fishing, but not necessarily to watch the boob tube./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

I almost didn't watch it as the pain of that day was just starting to pass. My wife wanted to so of course we did and I'm glad for it. I don't think a word passed between us the entire two hours. Extremely compelling. It helps remind us why we must continue our fight against terrorism.

I find the story of FDNY Chaplain Father Mike Judge especially compelling. What a hero - to go and serve with "his" firefighters and make the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. This documentary serves to remind us that this "new" kind of war is not only fought in the mountains and caves of a far away land. Just as importantly, it's fought here at home by the firefighters, police, other public servants, indeed, by all of us. Vigilance and persistance will see us through.

Darn Bird, that sounds like a steal. Around here $90,000 wouldn't even buy 10 acres, much less a Kubota to boot! /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

I sure hope everything is OK over there.
