i dug out under my leanto, and put 17 tons of gravel in there. and my transmission is low again.
it did not take much to bring it into the sight glass. that power steering sure did spoil me,
i moved my TO20, and it almost killed me to turn the wheel on it. i like my L3000DT just fine.

William,
I added 1 gallon saturday but only ran about 2.5 hours. still had fluid visible Sunday when I put it back in shed.

mrolson,
I priced mine out there and they were competitive with the other area dealers and also very nice . I bought mine @ wyatt farm center in IN. Paid no tax and only $100 for delivery to my home. I was told I could even make arrangements for pick-up for service if I don't want to tow. Just have to be ready when their driver is coming thru town. I will see when it is time for 50 hour service how well that works.

BTW- what type of tractor do you have? Marty

you added a gallon of transmission fluid, wow i wonder where it is going. it took only about
8oz of fluid to get mine into the sight glass.

Marty, I found them to be competive AFTER I had a quote from a different dealer. But, service is good, they are local, heck I can drive mine over for service.

I have the same one as you /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif L3000DT, R3s, LA450s, box blade. So far 45 hours of FEL work. At first I thought I made a mistake without going with HST, but it's amazing how quickly you get used to the gears. And I am still amazed at how easy this thing tackles new projects.

Just found this discussion site. I purchased an L3000DT 4WD about 4 weeks ago. I have a Ford 8N that I have owned for almost 20 years. It took a little time to get accustomed to the differences between the 8N and the 3000 but I really like the Kubota. I will have to watch the fluid level for the transmission after reading some of the other posts. The only problem I have encountered is the knob under the seat that controls the 3PH is stuck in the open position, I can not turn it. The dealer said they would be by to check it out. I have a question, how many hours do you folks get from a tank of fuel ? My gauge has not moved hardly at all, I only have 6 hours on the machine.

I have around 26hrs on the L3000dt without any fluid loss. I am planning to change the oil (everything) before winter. (Dealer suggested to chang all oils around 25hrs instead of 50) I think that the transmission could wait but I want to get synthetic in it before the cold weather comes. My only complaint is that the transmission does not have a spinon type filter, just a screen. Rich.

Youare,
I have 11.5 hours on mine now and I have used less than 8 gallons. I was working it kind of hard part of the time. They just sip the fuel. I like mine so far. Good luck with yours. Isn't this site is great. Marty
