Running welders on lightbulb electricity wouldnt be my choice anyways. I can clearly notice the difference when i use the same welder on 230V single phase, or 400V 3 phase.
the 230V networkl just cant get the amps following up quick enough so the welder sometimes just sticks the rod in the welding bead and keeps buzzing without welding.
If i had to move to a new workshop with no power electricity, i'd be happy to pay 1000 USD for a decent welder and a power connection... something you wont regret.
The 110V system will allways have to walk on its toes to keep up with your welder, or equipment you might want to buy in the future...
