Been getting lots of seat time this winter . I started out using the 54" blade and the mini loader and now I have switched over to the 54" snowblower. So far we have received just over 90"
of snow . We have not seen bare ground since the beginning of Nov. We are at our average snowfall now and should hit our average of 150 " by spring. Many people my age head to Florida but I actually like the change of seasons and enjoy plowing snow. Even after having a snow plowing business for 18 years I still miss it sometimes. Keeping my little space clean is perfect. plow1.JPG

I was hoping to see your Jeep out there working the snow...!

And when you say " seasons" do you mean winter and 1/2 of summer. Snow must be still melting in June..

I am freezing just watching you work. All that stuff and nothing with a cab? Brrrrr

Yep, no use for that kind of weather. I am very glad I live in Southern Missouri. We have not had any significant snowfall yet this year. A couple of months to go, and we generally get our biggest snowfalls later, but they generally melt in a couple of days.

Ahhh, but when you are dressed properly it is so enjoyable to be outside in the fresh air. One thing is for sure... There are no rattle snakes waiting to attack (see the current "rural living" thread). I'll take snow for a "few" months of the year over tornados, hurricanes, oppressive heat, or attacking critters.
We are promised a foot on Wednesday - sure hope it comes through!

90" is not all the serious :D We are moving close to the 200 mark here. To see us out enjoying it, just go to the dogs blog.

The Trail Mutt Reports

So that's where all our snow has gone this year! We have had 2 plowable storms this year. 8" in November and 7" two weeks ago. We're set for another 6" tomorrow. We frequently have 60" of snow a season. Of course, I really think it is my fault. I bought a new to me snowblower for the back of my tractor last Spring.

Our snow is of course lake water which surface is now at 70" froze over. So our glorious and snowy days might be tapering back... :(
