I have a TC33D with a 914A 6' MMM. Different times when the deck is raised to transport level the right side is higher than the left. All adjustments look the same on both sides and the linkage doesn't appear to be in a bind anywhere. I've greased and re-greased all zerks and pins and other points that rub with no luck........Could one of the springs be weak??? Does anyone else have this problem??.......The unit was new last oct.........Seemed to work ok then.......only 16 total hours on tractor............Thanks in advance.........TOM

I've got the same problem, but it cuts evenly. Don't know if I hit something & bent a rod or what.

Things to check

1. Tire pressure front & rear

2. Three point needs to be level - use a ruler on a level surface

3. Measure the linkage rods if you can - should be same left to right. I haven't had time to check this myself. The MMM manual has thorough instructinos on how to set it up.

Good luck.

HAZMAT...........I may have it figured out!! The pins in my sway adjusters were in different holes on each side.....I pulled the pin on the side that hangs lower and the deck sprung up immediately nearly cutting my finger off in the process !!!! Good thing I'm quick!!! I'll read the mower book and see if the recommended pin set-up for the sway bars is in there...........TOM

When my deck is raised, the right side hangs about 1" lower than the left. When I looked at it, it seemed the way the deck hangs it is allowed to pivot easily. I just figured the right side of the deck was a little heavier than the left. It would be nice if I could get it a little higher on that side as the gauge wheels ride on the ground. Does this seem normal for the TC18 or do I need to look at some adjustments? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The deck is supposed to hang level..........BUT...........From what I'm hearing a lot of them don't. Seems like its an adjustment problem .......Or maybe a design flaw........My turnbuckles, rods, and springs are all adjusted by the owners manual and linkage is greased and not binding but still lifts evenly only 1 time out of 3............I DUNNO?????? What next??.............TOM

I noticed when I hooked my cutter up and leveled it ,the mmm lift arms became uneven. So it seems you can't have both level at the same time. That's a problem for a tech expert. I tried everthing I can think of......no workie ! dass

I called for the tech guy to come look at it this morning. He was at the house by 3:30. Tore it all apart and re-mounted everything. Still lifted uneven, so he wanted to do what they had to do on the 914 a few years ago.........cut part of the lift stop off. He contacted the Service Manager and they agreed that it needed to come into the shop. First a call to NH to see if any service bulletins mentioned this problem. THEN if NH agreed, would they chop pff part of the lift stop.
The second problem is in the post "TC18 UN-Delivered!!!"

Tom: I too had the same problem! I have the same tractor & the same mower! Problem was solved by reading the mower owner's manual. I am 110 miles from that equip't right now and don't have the manuals in front of me, but what I remember is: the left hand lift arm has a pin that can go into any of three settings on the arm. To use the 3pt. hitch, you use one of them, to use the MMM you use a different one!!! Get out your manual and READ IT!!! Therein lies the answer. If I had mine nearby, I would have posted the solution!! Trust me: your deck will lift evenly when you have the left lift arm pin in the correct hole!!
