Hello...the other day I was using the tractor and saw the front tires slipping and realized it was in 4WD. The switch was off and no light on the dash. I checked the fuse to the switch and it was blown. Replaced it and now the light turns on and off on the dash but still in 4WD. This model doesn't have a FWD relay just the one 10amp fuse and a diode. The relay for the diff lock appears to work. What else keeps it in 4WD?

Some of those German Deeres are in 4x4 by default, the switch only holds it in 2wd, if that stuff fails it defaults to 4x4. I'd check wiring to the clutch pack that disengages the 4x4.

You need to check the wires to the solenoid under the tractor. The switch sends 12 volts to the solenoid when in 2wd. The solenoid opens and lets transmission pressure into the mows clutch to disengage it. If there is 12 volts to the solenoid when in 2wd, then you need to check pressure on the clutch. Solenoid may be bad or seals in clutch may be worn and not holding enough pressure to disengage the clutch.
