Any custom made drive shaft will be competitive with deere. Drive lines are very expensive to build especially if they are non standard.

I did...... can't remember the brand or part no. off hand. I'll dig around and see if I can turn it up. I took the specs for the u-joint and went to the auto parts store. Politely request the kid behind counter hand me the catalog. Then looked through it to match up a u-joint with the correct bearing diameter and inside lock-up distance.

Perhaps these guys have some used parts that will help. It looks like they have some stuff for the 855.
