955 Moving Slooow!

Just installed a power beyond kit on a 955 and now it drives slow. I did install the plug in the valve body which diverts the fluid through the jumper hose on the back. Any ideas before I take it to the dealer? My 855 acted just like this when I swapped the powerbeyond to the 955 and forgot to remove the plug in the valve body.

Are you sure you have the jumper hose coupler plugged in properly? If not, it will put the system in relief. Also, does it sound like the engine is laboring? If not maybe you accidently shifted the hi-lo range lever to low while installing the kit.

Hose is attached and have tried the high/low, no difference. It acts like the emergency brake is on(it's not already check). I may take it to the shop tomorrow. I overlook things sometimes when I have looked at it too long.

2 things to check - first that the seat "safety" post was not damaged, and is working corrctly - when you sit on the seat it is depressed and releases some control on the trans. If it is not depressing properly it will prevent movement as if you were not on the seat. Mine has an adjustment screw for height.

Second there is a safety built into the parking brake. Occasionally on my 855 if I don't set the brake well, it won't release when I take the brake off and will prevent anything other than sloooow movement. Set the brake well and release it again and it is fine.

Two possible ideas.

I also had this when the jumper hose was connected and not leaking but apparently not connected enough to alow flow, or full flow.
I disconnected it, cleaned it off and reconnected. Solved the issue.

...also if the 3-pt lift control is all the way up, it will
go into relief. This hoppens so easily with by backhoe
tractor that I romoved the handle.

As for all this interlock mechanisms on the JD955, they are
usually just trouble. I have removed all the interlocks
(throttle, brake, seat) from one of my 955s.

Thanks for all the help! It was loaded on the trailer for a visit to the JD Dealer in the morning. I read the post and went out and tried the seat safety switch. It came alive and its now operating like charm. Thanks again for all the help!
