He is a small tractor resaler... l think he buys auction tractors and
Reconditions them... l was leary but it was cool and it ran fine but an hour at home it got warm and the clutch got weak.... l told him if this us how he does buisness then while lm sitting insude instead of working my tractor then l have time to track all his for sale adds and message all potential buyers and tell them... l paid 7500 but he
Said it will only cost him about 600 to do the repairs... l dont have
the place to do it and it would be my first attempt... we will see...

Here is an update.... l finally contacted the guy and he says he will
install a new clutch this week for free.... lm praying he does a good
job. This is only my second tractor including the JD l inherited..... thanks guys...

It sounds to me like the seller might be a decent guy. Splitting the tractor to do the clutch is a fair bit of work but just a day job for a guy that has the stand and the knowhow. Hopefully that fixes your problem. If he has the tools and knowledge to split the tractor he probably knows how to do the job. If I were you I would offer to pay for half the clutch and pressure plate and all of the pilot bearing the throw out bearing. Might as well do it all while he's in there but he might not if he's flipping the bill all by himself.

The deal we made was on a tractor with no mechanical defects....
This was from his mouth... l had to run it about an hour to realize it
Was bad.... looked like a scam at first but if he makes it good then
I will forgive and forget and may buy another tractor from him later.
