Good advice, check for codes, I would suspect the APPs sensor. Have seen quite a few of these go bad overtime.

Sorry for the delay in responding, do not have Internet at home. I looked at the truck Friday and the problem did not exist. I did not touch a thing. I drove it and it behaved normally, which was weird. I will try to pull and post the code over the next couple days.

The on and off dead pedal is the sign of the injector pump and transfer pump going/gone out..
