That is just a few miles from me... it was a big deal to the community and those boys did a great job moving it! I have tons of respect for guys like that...take a big yellow machine and make things HAPPEN! Kudos to the crew!

I won't Monday morning quarterback the way is was done, enough people already have. I do agree the reason the dozers were run backward was to provide lift to keep the front of the skids from just digging in and stopping the whole works. Maybe not the best way but it did work.

I understand why it's done but it always kills me that a developer buys some wooded land to make a subdivision, proceeds to doze down most or all the old trees then after everything is built they plant some 4 year old, 5 foot tall trees and call it good.

Some of you guys thing that was a waste of money, but in Stanley Park just down the road from me they have spent over a quarter million dollars to prop up a dead, rotten stump.

Lunacy. I would have taken care of the problem with a chainsaw. Plant a few new trees if it hurt anyone's feelings.......
