I've got the same one but did U one better.
Paid $100. LOL but it had a wooden base that I replaced with homemade metal stand.
Work horse for shure.

I simply rub my tool tops with a block of wax as used for canning food in jars.
Works for me.

As to shavings, I got fedup cleaning the whole shop and so I sealed off as best as I could and made a shute that connects to a 4 inch vaccume that promptly fills a barrel in short time.

Thanks for the tip .Id like to find an owners manual for it.Im a little confused about the depth of cut part.Itryed to change it ,i loosened the lock put the depth at 1/16 ,but the lock doesnt line up with the hole now???I guess im confused

escavader, once you set the infeed depth, it is locked in place by the lock handle just under the scale that rotates. The plunger with the round ball handle to it's left is to lock the in feed table in that hole at the 1/8" mark. It's not used for anything else. I never make any cuts that deep. The tear out is just out of control. I usually set it around the 16th or 32nd to get a better finish.

SO if you do not have it set at 1/8 th inch you cant push the plunger back in?
Another question if i may, The outfeed table looks adjustable.WHEN i turn the lever under it ,the lever goes a little then stops. The table doesnt move.Is that just a lock and i have to physically push the table on the slide .Either way i cant move the table. On the big planers i use at work ,on the bottom head, you want your knifes at there highest point on an,even plane with the table or you will get snipe on the tail end of the board,if its too low ,or rough spots if its too high.If the knifes are preset, why the adjustment then?Idid find a little thumbscrew in the back ,but i still couldnt move the table.

Correct. If you're not using the 1/8 cut setting, the plunger won't go in the hole and will not be used. Not sure why Delta decided 1/8" was going to be used more 'cause I never make cuts that deep.

The outfeed table is adjustable. You have a lockscrew on the back of the planer at the bottom of bed. It's black with a flippable paddle handle. It locks the table from sliding against the gibs. Loosen that lockscrew and then you can adjust the outfeed table with the threaded knob under the table. If you still can't move it, then it's probably siezed. Wood dust left on a machine invites moisture and rusts machinery. Might just need to be loosened and then given a good rap with a rubber, dead blow mallet to get things moving.
