There those days which are great and then there are those days that are well...........not so great.

I found these and while they're not mine they are a sanity check at what "can" happen.

Fortunately, the operator was more shaken up than anything, according to the article, and should recover.....I hope the tractor fairs as well....

BX's can be quite unstable on side slopes (short, narrow WB). Many times Ive been up on 3 wheels. To work a BX on side slopes you need a highly calibrated butt-mounted roll over gauge ;)

Good to see his ROPS up though. For any side-hill loader mines always up and seat belt fastened.

One thing I always see in these rollover accidents, is the bucket up in the air.. Guys if you don't know, I will tell you. The travel position of the bucket is down low just above the ground, and no higher than the hood for sure. You don't raise the bucket until you absolutely need to and you are near stopped or stopped at your dump location.. Just remember "the bucket low when on the go"..

A couple of months ago I saw a Kubota L??? doing hazard mowing on a rough lot near town. His bucket was at full height. I expected a rollover any minute as I passed by, the way the tractor was swaying with each bump or dip.

Tractor going down the highway....one round bail on the front, one on the back....bucket pretty high.....tractor did a total end-over and kept going. Tractor was an enclosed cab that did not support the weight of the machine....operator was killed, but the machine kept moving causing all kinds of ****.

These machines are very powerful machines....even the "toy" tractors. You really need to take care and RTFM.....it only takes about 2 trips to the can to finish off that manual....DO IT!

I was just thinking the same thing!

With a loaded bucket up high the center of gravity changes making it very easy to flip on its side...

Update....sorry no pics, only because I am still doing the same ole same ole, but I think I have a new camera mount figured out so even if it is redundant you will have much more video to look at.

Still moving dirt, I am getting close to having a drainage ditch dug out back so that my pistol range will drain and not be a little pond. We currently have 120 hours on it, been just too hot to be working outside for very long.

I did have one small issue with the loader controls, but I will outline those in more detail on another thread....all the problem was is a loose nut...easy fix but something to think about.

I give you my word more videos.

Well been a long time between updates, between my health and all I just have not been able to get on the machine much. But add that to the list of good reasons to have a smaller machine, if you have issues that make it hard to climb up on a large machine keep that in mind.

Anyway machine now has 127 hours on it and I have been using it for the same things, moving brush, moving dirt, digging up trees and stumps with the backhoe. Some of these stumps have been in the ground for so long they have rotted and just a little pull will take them right out. Others have a root system that is just amazing and requires an ax to get out. The roots are larger then the trunk of the tree in some cases....as big as my arm....amazing.

Anyway I also got a new camera a Mobius and decided to mount it to the roll bar with some Velcro.....it stayed there but really picked up the noise.

Anyway on to the video.
