A Day Off From Retirement

The forecasted blizzard didn't hit Western Kentucky yesterday. So all the preparations my wife and I made were not necessary. Oh well, what are we going to do today. Don't want to start another project with friends arriving from out of town in a couple days. So I guess we will just take a day off,........from our retirement.

We made one short trip to one of my wife's aunts house to set up her new laptop, then on to town to get lunch.

Spent the rest of the day either watching TV, playing on the computer, or just being lazy.

Gonna spent this afternoon planning some of our projects for next year.

This has been one of the few days in the last twenty months that we haven't had something we had to do.

Even retired people need a day off every now and then.

Enjoy your "down" time......you deserve it. I agree.....a day off once in awhile is a good thing.

A day of "Downtime" is beneficial. It provides the opportunity for relieving stress. I, myself, have found retirement to be quite different than I had imagined. There is always something to do, but on the positive side, I normally get to choose the times to perform these chores.
