I ran across this on ebay and thought it was interesting. You can angle the rear blade and you can off set it at the front mount. It probably wouldn't hold up well for dirt work but for snow it think you could use it like a wing plow.

I'd stick with the box blade for dirt work, but that looks like it would be very handy for snow.

Some of the larger blades do that, with an option for hydraulic offset.

I agree, it looks like it would work well for snow. Expecially with the chain and the ability to "float" over some un-even ground.

But I wonder what it would do if the blade were spun around backwards and pushed into a pile of snow. On a truck mounted blade, the blade will ride up the snow bank. I wonder if this one is designed to do that or if it would bend something with that chain setup.

PS, How much does one of them cost??

I think it would be super handy for knocking the snow back from the edge of the road/drive.

Kind of like a temporary wing plow.

My Woods MD-72 ("medium duty") swings like that but it is a Cat 1/2 blade with a heavy brace arm.

The design is interesting, but the execution looks a bit wimpy. The boom pivot between the lower 3pt pins looks especially light and prone to "working" itself apart. It makes a lot of compromises to achieve some float that you could get by either adding a brush hog style U-shackle at the top link or by replacing the top link outright with a chain.

I like the design of Steve's Betst blade much more than the eBay blade - I wouldn't think twice about challenging my traction with that one.
