As I was looking for pics from last week to illustrate installing my culvert (I posted a reply with them to a culvert topic in Projects forum), I found a few pictures of my PT-425 in action, cleaning up the mess after the big equipment was through...

A big bite of brush

Loading dead tree branches

More dead brush

My friend and my son cleaning up the road bank

It handles these hillsides much better than the little Kubota did

Sadly, I don't have any good pictures of it in action on the steeper slopes. My friend wouldn't operate it there -- I had to do it -- and he wouldn't/couldn't operate my camera... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Every time I complain that the 2445 could use more weight or whatever, you 422/425 guys are out there just showing me up! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nice... For a minute there I thought you were on a property in Maine, but then looked at your location, Mass...

Close enough, New England anyway.

Nice Pictures! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Actually that property is in East Tennessee, about 7 air miles from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park...

I'm storing it at my friends house (the guy in the pictures), until my garage is built on this lot. So far, he's put more hours on it than I have, so I'm not real sure that he's going to let it leave his barn... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

He's having a blast with it grubbing underbrush and fencerows with the minihoe, and piling it with the grapple bucket... If he tries some of the other attachments, I may never get it back!

Hey KentT...great shots. That 425 looks great working! Time for a personal question....how tall are you fellas? I'm 6'4" and was wondering if I was going to fit on the 425. Some of your pics look like shins and knees have no extra room. I don't mind tight:D but want to be comfortable to work a few hours at a stretch if needed. Any comments?

I will definitely need to operate a 425 before purchasing but was looking for an operator "fit" assesment.
Anybody else have any thoughts?

My friend in those pictures is 6'4" and about 280lbs or so. He complains a bit after he's been on it a couple of hours, telling me that I need to buy him the bigger diesel (1430)... I laugh, saying he's about worn my 425 out already, so it may be time. Seriously, he's put more hours on it than I have. What a storage bill I'm paying!

I'd suggest you drive one and a 1430 and see which one fits you best. There's plenty of head room, but the knees are a bit tight for you taller guys -- I'm only 5'11'' and have plenty of room.

And then you can tell your wife [or yourself] there's no way you'll fit in anything less than a 1445!!!:D
