Tractor
NH TT50A with rear remotes added
Hi, new member here and I am in the market for a new tractor. I want to be able to run my 7' JD haybine and NH 69 bailer and will need a loader on for the manure and gravel moving/pushing. I'm a bit concerned that the smaller 4X4 tractors will not be able to handle this. I use my 770 for all the hay stuff and the BMC for the loader. Want to combine down to just one (newer) tractor. So my question is which model would you guys/gals consider for this? Remember I am trying to keep to a non cab model as I need to go through our barns from time to time.
I am looking at the TYM and Montana brands, and I'm about 2 hours north of Harrisburg PA. Between Allentown and Stroudsburg PA.

Thanks,

Can't really answer your brand specific questions, but I would comment that HP is only one consideration with a sqaure baler -- the other is tractor weight (unless you want whiplash every time the baler ram changes direction). I have a Mahindra 6500 (65 hp) that weighs in at over 7,000 lbs with the tires filled. My IH 46 baler shakes it very little, but the JD 336 I borrowed today really rocks it when stopped -- it does smooth out if I'm moving at normal speed, but I was surprised at the difference. Can't predict exactly how your NH is, but just keep0 in mind that a heck of a lot of weight is starting and stopping in a forward-reverse direction with every stroke of the ram.
