This was the burial hole. I was hoping to be able to show the loader marks, but as the tractor came up and out it covered the marks with the loose dirt.

This is a closer shot of the "hole" so that you can see how deep it was. Toward the front of it by the water you can where I try to put some wood under the tires to help bring the front up, but it just keep pushing the wood down. Toward the top you can see how deep the rears were.

At first I tried to pull it out with my truck. Here are some good examples of what a non-4wd 4wd looks like when it can't/won't spin all four. This is the right side of my truck.

Side note to self.....gotta get new tires ordered for it.....maybe a winch too.....Santa are you listening..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

The left rear. At least you can see that it was spinning and trying to dig a little bit.

And finally here is a shot of the four holes dug by my rescuer. I went to his house earlier so see if he could help me, but he wasn't home. I was sunk. Just as we were about to hook my truck to Dad's truck and Come-Alongs I waved Dad off. I saw the shining star. My neighbor and his Long Landtrac 360 w/ ag tires. Glad this wasn't a couple of weeks ago as his tractor was in the shop with a broken front axle - covered under warranty as it was determined to be a manufacturing defect.

This is how far his tractor dug down before we waved him off and got him stuck too. We end up having to connect another 100' of cable doubled back to get him a total of about 75' away when he was able to get enough bite to get me moving. Was a great thrill when I actually started moving up out of my hole. Wife said, "I didn't even have to step up onto the tractor."

I forgot a shot (oooh, not a good word to be using around here with all of the shootings on I-270 in Columbus) of the tractor with the mud splashed clear up the side of the loader.

Once the tractor was out and back under the cover of half a roof, we went back to town and went to eat with my parents to "celebrate" me getting older. A good beginning and end of a day sandwiching some pretty worrisome time in between. But at least I was able to finish the job once I got it out. Looks a lot better. I think I even got a complement from the wife "That looks good. A lot better than it did. About time you got it done." of course I think there was a slam in there too...... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Believe it or not, I considered flagging down one of the local guys with an F250 lifted a little with some fairly agressive tires on it. After seeing the trouble that my neighbors 36HP Long had getting it out, I don't think it would've budged my little blue anchor.
