I find the iphone app so useful, so I post this:) Instead of using poison to keep the weed away this works very well!

Talking about if BX has a cat1 or not, I did lenghten my arms by 10cm ( around 4inc)
This to be able to use cat1 implements.

Well if I try to translate..."weed-harrow" simple as that:confused2:
Its only made for clearing weed on big areas, like in front of your house, driveways ,big plats,

Use Google image "Advanced Search" for "harv" with the region being "Sweden." Some photos of larger ones of similar style came up.

Here's one.

Who is the manufacturer? How much $. Do you think it would be effective in weeding pastures (looks like you're doing a road).

Thanx for sharing samofsweden! Interesting implement, specific use though. How does it do in dry ground? Seems it would be better in moist or loose soil by the angle of the harrows. Do the tines in the rear collect the vegetation?, and require periodic dumping?

So what is a Field Cultivator for? How is it different from a disc? I've never used a disc but I assume you can set it for different depth penetration. Is a harrow the same as a field cultivator?

Not really a farmer so can't comment with certainty but I remember many years back when I was a kid working on a friend's farm for the summers, we used all three. This was wheat farming. Disc really turns the soil over nicely, the other tang style cultivator also breaks up the soil while the harrow was used to breakup the lumps of soil after using the other cultivators. Mind you this 40 odd years ago and I think modern farmers don't do as much cultivating in order to preserve soil from erosion and moisture losses.
