Great picture!! Thanks.

One of my dreams is to be able to see deer on a regular basis. I've been to the hill country and they are everywhere, but here in East Texas, they are few and far between.

We saw two last week eating all the new grass shoots coming in where I'm building my lake, but before that it's been months.

Your a lucky man to have such a beautiful view!!!!!

Don, I see them everynight on my way home from work. They are grazing along the road, just last night one started walking out in front of my pickup, it stopped and I didn't hit it but it was close. I did hit two at once the only time I hit a deer with a vehicle and the wife got one with the same car.

Gatorboy, I am talking about the flowers and cool clear air blowing from the north. As you can tell by the picture my big rats have no horns, Eddie Walker has all those in his house. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yeah, it is great to come out the front door and see a few 50-75' away. We have a group of does that wander through every few days. Usually 4 or 5 but I have seen up to about a dozen. They have gotten to where they don't spook too easily. Thank goodness our Boxer doesn't seem to want to chase them. I have frequently come out the door with her and with the deer in the front yard and she just stands and watches them.

We get them occassionally out our back door. They're nice to look at, but my 4 beagles always want to talk to them, and that's a conversation I'd rather not listen to. Especially at night, when deer are the most active.
