A new way to mount a box on a Tractor? I've never seen it anyway.

^thanks, and that can be done, but the snap close mechanism will impinge on the floor platform. Moving the box inboard doesn't look like it, but the lid will scrape on the plastic of the cowling. It's all just a compromise going any way or another.

You can see how close it is in post#5.

Also, rotate the box 180 degrees so the latch mechanism face towards the front of the tractor.

I don't have any pictures but mounted a 50 cal box at the same place on my MX5200 a couple of years ago. I found some large U bolts that were the right size to go around the tube and attached angle iron to the sides of the box and attached that to the tube with the U bolts. I have a little more room than you because my box is sitting directly on the tube, but it is still tight. Mostly I have some spare parts in there, and some gloves. It's fine for getting the gloves in and out but if I need to get anything else out I'm probably going to be pulling everything out until I find what I need since you can't really look in there.

I take my loader off all the time and don't find any issues with the box there.

Also, I'm using the test plug trick and I store chain inside of that tube.

Welp, I got it installed and it's not as slick as I'd hoped. It's really tight where the lid won't completely open, but worse, it's so tight that removing the loader and reinstalling it may damage the box if I'm not very careful.

I'm glad I have it there for extra storage, but it ain't perfect.

I made one of these for both my tractors. Universal enough to get the job done.

If you search for chain storage on here, you will get all sorts of great ideas.
