This was done with a 2180 42" cut! with a home made lawn stripper .made with chains. buy the way ,that's not house,it's nice but not mine,I don't have a yard to cut of my own yet!so I treat every lawn that I do cut as if it were my own!

Hey GQ,

We'd love to see a picture of your striper. I would have thought a solid roller of some type would have been the way to go for better stripes. I noticed some of the new cub decks have a roller that is about the width of the deck and mounted on the back of the deck.

G.Q. I quess I'll ask a dumb question....what is a lawn stripper made with chains? The cut of the grass is outstanding!! How do I make one of these strippers? I have a 2005 CC2042...will it work on this model?

I used 2 L-bracket,angle iron or Or the predrilled angle tubeing spacing is about 1/2 inch apart.20 chains about 8links each,with s hooks to hold or bolts,I the chain is 1/4.thick I inter weaved a smaller chain throw the bigger chain for added weight. and use a bungee to hold up the links while loading and unloading from job sight.The guy from lowes hated me after ward from cutting 20 peices of chain.but he was a good sport about it!
