Hey all. New to the forums, been watching for some time, and enjoy following the discussions and watching projects progress. Here are some pictures of a trailer I built a few winters ago; wanted to add something, quit lurking about.

The rails are 2x3x1/4 angle iron, and the cross-members are 2x2x1/4 - I like to build things heavy (the finished product weighs in at just under 600 lbs.) The cross-members were notched and the rails are inserted into the notches.

The axle/hubs/springs were a package from NorthernTool, the axle was widened ~24 inches to accomodate the 6x9 ft deck, then boxed in with channel stock. The entire project was welded with a cheap AC welder (don't even remember the brand) that has since been replaced with a Hobart TIGMATE.

Here are a few pictures as the deck was being installed and the sides were framed up. The sides are all quick release, and are covered with expanded steel. I forgot about the Century wirefeed I had, not a bad welder for $75 (used) but the lack of infinate heat stunk.

Welcome to TBN. Your trailer looks great. Did you cut all that 2 X 2 with the chop saw that I saw in the picture? When I was putting together a BH dolly I got so tired burning up chop saw blades that I finally broke down and invested in a horizontal band saw which makes short work of cutting. Hope to see more of your projects in the near future.

Looks good. Welcome to TBN. Looks like you have a few other toys in the garage there as well - the Nova looks really nice.

Thanks for the kind words.

Yeah, all the bits were cut using the chopsaw in the background, which ended up taking a dive on me in the middle of a small project about a year ago. Cheap hardware just doesn't hold up.

The Nova in the background was purchased new by my mother-in-law. It's currently owned by her brother, I just stored it for a while. My wife and I pondered purchasing it, but the time wasn't right, but maybe someday.

Nice looking and I bet it's seen a lot of use already.

Looking at yours reminded me of a little ATV trailer I just built. I looked around at tilt trailers and made this one tilt. With that main yoke you have you were just a couple welds away from making a tilt bed. You can save that for the next one!! :)

Yeah, the trailer's been to Stugis for the bike rally week 3 times, over a dozen trips out of town and hundreds accross town moving friends, and firewood.

I have been considering converting to a tilt trailer, especially after 13 trips to the tree dump over the last 5 days. I've been asked if I'd sell it, so I could part with it and start anew too...

Sounds like an excuse for another project. I just sold "the last trailer I'd ever build" to build the next last trailer I'll ever build. :)
