A RoundUp & Pump Sprayer Question

I guess maybe it is. I tried spraying tonight with some I'd mixed on Saturday and it was already showing some clogging at the screen. :duh:

I rinsed the sprayer and cleaned the screen so it'll be ready to go next time. Would my local farm store have the sprayable AMS? I have an Orschlin's in town and a Rural King a few towns over. If it's not too expensive I'll give it a try just to improve effectiveness.

The very first thing I do to any sprayer I use Roundup inside is to take a big Sharpie and mark "HERBICIDE" on the sprayer and then never use it for insecticide or anything else. Maybe you can wash that stuff out, but I just don't trust it. I never use a herbicide sprayer for insecticide. I know this has nothing to do with cleanup except to say that you have to be careful where you clean out a herbicide sprayer too. Rinsing out your sprayer in your yard will make an ugly dead spot. . . voice of experience here from years ago.

Right you are! I only use this sprayer for RoundUp, and when I wash it out, the liquid runs down the concrete parking pad to the gravel drive. And that's where I'm spraying the stuff anyway. I have another sprayer I use for weed killers, and a pro sprays for insects once a month.

Just rinse the screen out. takes two seconds and is no problem.
To do it less frequently, store the wand with the nozzle pointing up. If I do this I can go through a couple gallons or so and not have to clean the screen.

I'll try the nozzle up trick next. I sprayed about a gallon yesterday and rinsed the sprayer and wand pretty well. To remove the screen you need to take the cap off the nozzle, but if you remove the nozzle assy first you can't unscrew the cap.
