A sad day for Stowe Vt -Tubbs goes to China

</font><font color="blue" class="small">( I think this is largely an issue of perception. Long time rural folk see a lovely 200+ acre farm broken apart into five acre lots with a modern house on each one and lament the loss of prime farmland and open space. A recent transplant from a big city like Boston arrives after moving from a house on a tiny lot in a crowded neighborhood and marvels at the open space five acres provides.
We just don't look at the issue the same way. Pete )</font>
Bullseye. The X-ring is that the city folk buying 5 acres now want the amenities of the city because that is what they had. Only thing is they just moved away from that...... go figure.
Perspective is a major factor though. When I was trying to buy ground, I cant tell you how many 3-5 acre lots I was shown. Some people just cant get it through their heads even when you tell them to "start at 30 acres and go up from there"
We went through about 8 realtors, being told that there were no big plots out there, before finding a older guy that still had ears. He showed us 2 in 3 weeks. We bought our place through him in a month after we first talked to him.
