A Sad Reminder

I read the OP, and viewed a bunch of the uboob videos.

There was one that used starting fluid-- but instead of risking life and limb more than necessary by trying to toss a match/lighter or ! use a propylene torch (the last was Mythbusters... safety apparently isn't part of their name[1])-- the person sprayed a trail of fluid and lit off the end of the fluid from a safer distance. This trail of fluid method at least reduces the possible catastrophic effects that can occur.

[1] lets spray the tire with ether, cluster around the tire, and use a container of burning (potentially) explosive compressed gas to detonate the ether... if the tire exploded what will happen to that Fat Boy? The demo was out in a quarry, but Joe Copycat will use his garage and the gas canister could leave a flaming trail as it disappears into the neighbor's house....

I saw one group holding a 44 inch tire and putting half a can in then striking it and wondering where it when and why it blew up.
