My dad experienced a pain in his foot. After it didn't go away (he was Scandinavian and you give pains plenty of time to go away), he went to the doctor and the doctor found a small piece of baling wire imbedded in the foot. Apparently, while mowing with a push mower, a piece of wire went through my dad's work shoe and imbedded itself under the skin. He didn't experience any pain until several days later.
