I am having a problem with the brakes on an A64 wheel loader. I started the loader and discovered that the brakes were not working. The pedal have little to no resistance when pressing them. I am not familiar with the brake system on this machine at all. The machine belonged to my Dad who passed away almost 2 years back.

Do any of you guys have an idea of where to start looking for the problem? I know he had a service manual around somewhere for this machine, I just have not found it yet.

first things first check for fluids. there is an o-ring in the differential that sometimes goes and just pours fluids into there...been there done that....

Thanks for your reply. You were exactly right about the fluid. I didn't realize that this machine had a brake pump. It looks exactly like the pump on my 555A TLB which is the power steering pump so I assumed.....I found the service manual and looked up the brake system. After rubbing the stupid sign off of my forehead, I filled the brake reservoir. Brakes work great now....imagine that! I also found a post on the net that discussed the o-ring problem and found that I can get a seal kit for it.

Again I thank you for your reply salopez.
