Can you be more specific?

Coupler for what? TSC has a lot of generic PTO parts...Agri-Supply online also.

Montana Tractor 28 hp with Cat1 3pt system. Probably a coarse thread on the PTO.

Let's try this. Are you speaking of a PTO shaft to run a mower, bush hog, tiller, etc? The PTO shafts come with the couplers on the ends, one for the implement and one for the PTO at the tractor.

That is what I am looking for I plan on making a soil conditioner. Didn't know they came in one piece.

This is PTO shaft. As you can see, the couplers are on either end.

That's actually a Cardan shaft and more commonly known as a drive shaft. Just to differentiate between the implement's drive shaft and the tractor's PTO shaft.

Roy, Yeah, I was just trying hard to communicate.:D:D

It's cool...
We (including me) tend to use "PTO Shaft" for that drive shaft. Makes for some very confusing posts such as when trying to describe rigging a driven implement (mower or cutter) to the tractor (such as "Connect the PTO shaft to the PTO shaft..." when it should be "connect the driveshaft to the (tractor's) PTO shaft").
Just trying to clarify things...which includes my posts.

Yes, of course. I call it the pto drive-shaft. Although I did not in the post above. OOOps. The OP should refer to the unit properly, when asking at TSC, Northern Tool, Agri Supply, or a dozen other places to price the one he needs. My experience shows a C note or better. Hopefully, a quality shaft can be gotten for that, but I have my doubts. The Original Poster should also be aware of cutting to fit, greasing the ends, greasing the universal joints, running the safety chains typically provided and so forth. As I understand it, the PTO related injuries are about Number One on the list of serious, even death related incidents. Take care.
