Well, let me tell you how close it was for me.

Price (without BH) was within $50 ($16300) for a:

Kioto DK35 with R4s and KL1450 or
Branson 4020 with BL20 and R4s

The dealers were both good though I had to give the Kioti dealer a slight edge, he's 5 miles from my land, and well known and respected here,

The Branson is definitely more tractor with 6.5 more HP and the BL20 FEL has much more capacity than the 1450.

Branson is 12 speed, Kioti 8.

Both tractors look great and drive great. The Kioti steering was especially smooth.

The Kioti will fit into my shed with ROPS up. Would have to take Branson ROPS down. Would also have to get some pins for it, held up with bolts from the factory and I'm not about to fuss with wrenches every time I wanted to use it.

The Kioti has a full independent PTO. Not necessary, but nice to have IMHO. The Kioti has those nice extenders on the 3 pt. Also nice to have, although someone here said for $200 I could fit something even better on the Branson.

I like red a lot better than orange /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

But here was the kicker. On the Kioti, with the seat all the way back the clutch is a little close. But, on the Branson, with the seat all the way forward, my wife (5'1") could not depress the clutch. We would have had to fit a cushion or something.

Now, fact is, I don't plan on wifey using the thing much, but I want her to be able to if needed. I had been waiting for something to steer me one way or the other, and that was it, however petty it might seem to some of ya /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Maybe I just wanted the Kioti and that was my excuse. But one thing, I've rarely been in a buying situation that was *that* close. It really was a coin-tosser.

Thank you for the reply. Did your Branson dealer have the large frame 35hp tractor. If so I was wondering what he might have wanted for it? My guess would have been about $600 or so less. With Century tractors they have the same loader as the Brasons plus the C-50 which is alot more substantial. Well I hope you get many years of happiness from your DK-35.
Thank You Again and Good Luck

No Chipperman, he didn't. In fact - his stock was pretty low and he basically discouraged the idea of me "ordering" one, claiming (I have no reason to disbelieve him) that the ones on his lot were procured before a price increase last Sept, therefore a 3520 would cost as much as the 4020 on his lot.

If he'd been able to offer me a 3520 for $600 less, it would have been hard to pass up /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Chipperman, you certainly don't upset me, and I'm not saying anything against Branson; don't know enough about them. And I said ( purely personal opinion ). I just think that right now (don't know about the future) that there are more Kiotis around, quite possibly better dealer/manufacturer support in this area (don't know about other parts of the country) and in the event that Sendero ever wants to sell or trade his tractor, the Kioti will bring more.

So I'm only talking about a personal opinion on several points and they could all be wrong.

Well, I am not sure how to go about this because I do not want to step on anyones toes, but with the current rebates we could provide you with the DK35, R4s, KL1450 loader and 66" bucket for $15,750.00 if you choose the rebate over the financing. I am not sure if we have a box blade in stock so that is why I didn't price it. Delivery would be around $700.00 and we have one set up and ready to go right now. www.groupfarmequipment.net is our site.

This post mentioned a retrofit for hard shifting 2/4WD. Mine is a stinker and I have experimented by speeding up and letting off on the throttle quick and moving it out of 4wd. Almost imposssible standing still either way. If there is a fix I will get onto my dealer. Thanks bcs

Well I decided on the the DK35 with the the Woods FEL and 66" quick attach bucket.I talked to a guy who has the Woods loader on his DK35 and his buddy has a DK35 with a Kioti 1450 loader on it.His buddy wishes he had the Woods loader after comparing the two.So I should have my tractor some time next week, dealer had to order the R4's and box scraper.I'll post some pictures when my new toy arrives. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Hi,

That's funny, the best deals I have found yet have been out of state. Even when you include the shipping costs. The guys in the middle part of the country seem to have a very nice 'sell in volume' attitude.
