Friend was ask to push back snow banks for this guy and guy told him nothing to worry about hitting... so much for the rock garden and bush...yikes.
Guy took him to court and lost,the word was pass along to other plow drivers etc. nobody plows his driveway.

I think we are still waiting on the first, first person account of a lawsuit which occurred while doing tractor work for hire.

I may or may not have damaged a real estate sign on my property striking it with the tail wheel of my rotary cutter. Guy says I owe him $300 I said nope sorry. Sheriff came out and talked to me about it. I'll see him in court if he wants to I guess. It's really frustrating that people can put up tons of signs on your property and say it's right of way you can't touch them. I just want to mow and have the place look nice. This just happened Monday.

On your property? Remove it. In the state right of way? Remove them.

If it is in the right of way most places have ordinances or laws against it. That property is owned by the county, city or state.

Not real sure where the laws are on this especially with real estate. I have worked hard keeping area clean and mowed. Just frustrating I understand he is mad as the sheriff said but they aren't my signs or my advertising

The right of way is owned by the person paying the taxes on it.

This is an example of what's legal in a small Oregon town.

In Texas anyone can remove them. I know a lady who built a workshop out of MDO plywood from signs. Fenced her goats in with the posts!

One time I had a realtor put up a sign across from a commercial property I had. I knew it the property was not for sale. I called her and asked how much to buy it? She said she had some other property she could sell... I told her I was going to take her sign down. She could pick it up any time. She proceeded to learn me some new words I can't really repeat here...Somebody's poor mother... or something.
