Has anyone actually modified a stock bucket (KL130) with the quick attach bracket? If so, are there any pictures available? Back of bucket seems too round to allow attaching a flat bracket without some fancy alterations????
Thank You for any feed back.

I think you would be better off buying the new bucket and QA plate that is now standard on the newer model CK30/35. Aren't they around $800.00 to $1000.00? Nice clean fit.

I had purchased the bucket plate and fel arm QA adapter for my CK30. The mounting flanges on the bucket (with the holes for the standard pins) is what is cut straight and the mounting plate is welded to them, not the actual bucket material. The parts came from Michigan Iron and they were nice enough send me templates to place on the flanges to know where to cut and get the proper angle. After a temporary assembly and some measurements, I decided not to make the change. For me, the bucket is moved to far ahead which lowers the lifting strength. The idea of a QA is nice but I don't need to switch that often in that I would make the trade off of lower lifting when I have needed the full amount of the @1200# rated lift. If your interested, these unused parts will go cheap.

Victor, I know you haven't installed the plate on the bucket, but how close to the bucket do you think the plate will be? Also, have you calculated the total distance the adapter will move the bucket forward?
(sorry for all the questions)
Thanks,
Gus

Hodak, I am also checking your idea and thanks for the input.:)

Gus, The QA adapter is the Aldomi brand. Other brands may have different dimensions. For the adapter itself, from the mounting pin (fel pin) centers to the face of the QA, it is 8.5 inches. The weld on mounting plate is 1/4" thick steel. I can place the templates on the bucket to be sure if you need the exact number, but if my memory is good, the plate is very close to the hole centers that are on the bucket. So the extra total distance forward for the bucket should be @9 inches. I know 9 inches doesn't seem like much but I didn't want to lose any lift and curl.

Hodak's idea might be better if you can spare the change. A QA bucket is designed for the mounts and saves you approx. 2 inches. (Approx. distance from the current bucket back to the pin centers). You'd still have the 8.5 inches for the QA adapter minus the 2 inches with a new bucket.

Maybe if I had a stronger loader I'd use the QA but for the few times I need to change, I'll just play with the four pins.

I hope this helps you a little.

Thank you for the feed back, it gives me a good idea what to expect. Sounds like something My Son and I can handle. (I can still make the coffee):( I don't really use the bucket to it's full capability and being able to switch without the hassle will be worth it to me. I just can't do the physical end anymore, so I get it easy to change or don't do it at all. I am still looking into some other models,(there is one made in Canada...different design but I am having problems getting up to date info on it). If you want to email me what your asking for yours I will give it a look.
Thanks again Victor and Hodak,

Gus

Hey PaPaGus,
We actually use the bradco brand plate. They have a HD and a lighter duty(lighter weight also) to weld onto the bucket. You cut the ears off and with an acurate level indicator rodon your loader, you put the adapter plate onto your QA plate and pull up to the bucket on the level floor. When the bottom touches you adjust the bucket angle so the rod shows level and you can measure the top distance and get your correct angle.
NOTE: This is the time you can adjust for more tilt back if you want. The bucket normally goes past full down when you empty it so you can steal a little to get a little more tilt back if you like. We convert a lot of buckets and try to save on weight(payload) as much as possible.
Good Luck,
Dave G.

That seems like a better way to go. Adjust your roll back, save some weight, and maybe stay a little closer to the fel arms. My QA adapter is rated for 3,000# which is way more than the loader can lift.

Lining up the four pins can be a pain sometime and the QA seems like the perfect setup for you. I used mine over the weekend when I borrowed a friends forks. So I'll hang on to it for now. I may need it again. Dave's matching setup may be just what you need.

The Quick Attach set up on the new KL130 loader looks great... I am trying to find out if Kioti plans to make this available for the older vintage KL130 (2006) loaders. I personally like the looks and design I have seen in pictures.
I have also been trying to contact Kioti directly (with no luck so far) to get an answer. Just wondering if anyone else has any information on their plans in regards to this subject?
Thanks,
Bruce
