Kubota L 3430 with cab
I bought a new l3430 tractor with a cab to get out of the weather, trading in my 12 year old B2150. I coulden't afford another 8 grand for a new L snowblower (2"wider) and new snowplow with quick atach system. I modifed the old plow to work (l2223a loadervalve&joystick), modifed the snowblower to mount to plow frame (3pins). turned it on and it runs backwards!! Kubota is not helping offers no advice except buy new plow and blower! RAD International in Canada makes blowers for Kubota -parts dept tells me I need a reversing gearbox which they can only supply to kubota. I guess it would replace unit which connects snowblower driveshat to mid-pto driveshaft -- it could be longer or shorter slidingdriveshaft adj. wider- universals to fit any ideas? other blower or pto attachmets reverse direction? only used blower 3 times in 12 years but driveway 800 ft+ it saved my butt in 25in + snowstorms! any ideas or help appreciated!

Do I understand correctly?
I take it you are front mounted (since you talk of mid PTO).
And you have a RAD blower.
That is then also a Bervac which was made by RAD.

I purchased a Bervac 60" used that was front mounted with the RAD/Bervac reversing setup and since I wished to retain my FEL operation I did the reverse thereby eliminating the 'kit' that takes the rear PTO to drive the front blower.

Suggest you PM me and we can discuss a deal.

I'll look for your pics as that will better show if what I have will do the job 4 you.

I'm with Piloon - I don't fully understand what your problem is or why you are having it. But if the major issue is that your blower turns in the wrong direction, you can put a reversing gearbox between your PTO and driven shaft. These are widely available - the Kubota dealer near me has a barrel full of them! One thing you have to watch for is the input to output gear ratios. I used a 1:2 reverser-reducer to convert a tiller from 3ph to front mount and it works great. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Does anyone know if the B 2660 is compatible with L 35?

Thanks,

From what i have seen most manufacturer's (MFG) take a blower design it to be run on @540 rear pto. which is the most common in a >100 hp situation. What happens from there is Kubota or any other MFG convert it to mount onthe front. the B2660 was fitted for a B1700, B2100 tractor. with a 1000 rpm belly pto. the result of a direct fit would be 1000 rpm in wrong direction so they ad a 2:1 reverser and a chain and sprocket to slow it down. The chain/sprocket combo makes the "pto" input on the blower lower so it works better to fit ona belly. I am also anti big dollar so i purchased a 48" blower mfg by Loftness marketed by kubota that was originally for a F series front mount commercial mower. i had same problem.Wrong rotation and too much speed. 1st thought not a good buy for $300. 2nd thought i removed the reverser box and attached directly to blower. the only downside is REAR mount 3pt. :confused2: upside for me was 1hr with backblade now takes 15 min with blower. still worth the $300:thumbsup:
