Does the bucket you are getting have the round pipe along the top edge? If so, how'd they weld the hooks on it?

I've got the rounded edge on my HD bucket. But the top is flat so the hooks weld on like any other bucket, except less need for reinforcement.

fishnhunt365,

You might do better going to the Lansdowne Moody dealership that Brandon bought from. When I was playing the price game last year I went to the LM location on I-10 just inside the east loop. I talked to one salesman twice and had gotten a lower than list price quote from him both times. I was doing some pricing elsewhere at the same time so I did not get back with them for a week or so. My next contact w/ them was when they called me, except that it was a different salesman. When I told him I was already been talking to the other salesman he told me that guy was out of town. Then he started pushing me to buy at list price and would not budge. Lansdowne Moody on I-10 lost the sale and I ended up buying from the dealership in Ark. near where I have a few acres.

Sounds like Brandon's buying experience was a little better at the Webster store.

2thdoc,

I bought the HD 60" bucket last year when I got my TC33D. It appears to me that the steel plate on the top of the bucket is curled under and only looks like a length of pipe across the top. I use to word curl for lack of a better word to describe it. When looking on the underside the curled plate does not actually make a complete circle but stops just shy of touching. Does this sound right or is there actually a piece of pipe welded across the top? How does yours look? I do not have my tractor here at home with me so I am trying to picture in my mind how it looks.

Brandon,

Congratulations on your new TC33D! You are going to have to invite me over to check out your First Choice attachments. I am BLUE with envy! /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Hey Brad,

I noticed that you have different hooks on the outside than in the middle. The ones on the outside will grab a chain link right? What are those hooks called?

Thanks,

The two hooks on the outside are called grab hooks I believe and the middle one is a slip hook. The outside ones lock a chain in place, while the middle one will let chain (or rope) slide through. It makes it easier to get stuff centered if can slide IMO.

Brad,
Do you use those hooks very often? Since I got my forks I can't really remember wanting to hook a chain up to my bucket.

Nope. You're right, I use the forks for almost everything I would use the hooks and chain for. But I do use them occasionally, to strap brush into the bucket or when I'm too far away from my forks and it is a small job. I carry a chain behind the seat.

The forks are better for most things, but the hooks didn't cost me anything and they are nice to have around.

Congrats, with so many people dropping a good bit of money at NH dealers, I think I'll took a look at their stock prices. I too, hope to give them a good chunk of money in the very near future. Have fun on your new blue.
