Looking to try and tap into the hydraulics and put some ports in the rear for some small homemade attachments. Any input would be great! Pics are even better! New to the site but some of you guys really have some talent, and the rest well I am right there with you. We GET it done!! Thanks for your time and hope to get some ideas going....

Welcome Nathan, Iam not familar with the 325 hyd circut, But I would consider using electric silinoid controled valves, much easier If you dont mind the touchy control,...Eric

Thanks Mrkubotakid,
I have thought of going with an electric silinoid, have not had much experience with the electrical units. Do you have any references or items that you would recommend?

If I remember right, those tractors already have 1 or 2 sets of ports on the front left side, why not just relocate one of those by removing the hose connections on one of them, install a short hose from one set of those to the rear and refix the hose connector to a point where needed on the rear. The pump capacity isnt enought to run more outlets at one time than it already has and the tank capacity is about 1.5 gallons I think so you would run it out of oil with that many cylinders or explode it if you retracted all of them.

Gary,
Unfortunately my tractor does not have the ports on the front. I do not have the GX Series. I do have a hydraulic lift for my mower deck that I was looking to add some ports from that. Unsure at this time how to add ports and make how to make a bypass to isolate either the rear attachment and my mower. Looking back I wish i would have been alittle more picky and got a tractor with some ports! Thanks

Id start with the surplus center,

Since you already have hyd deck lift, you can remove the hoses for the hyd deck lift, and extend them to the rear, and use the current valve to control whatever is attached to the hyd hose. . I believe that is a very small hyd pump, so it depends what you want to control as to the usefulness of the hyd. I see they have a hyd tiller for the tractor, but is the hyd for a cyl or a hyd motor on the tiller?

I run a hyd pump off the fan belt for my hyd lift and steering. Barns makes a small hyd pump that will pump 1 to 3 GPM . then you need the valve whether it is a lever valve or a solenoid valve. Just add up the cost and see if it is worth it.

i think I'd use a cheap low volume 12v electric over hyd unit. self contained units with a couple quart sump, motor, control and outlets are no bigger than a 2l soda bottle, and run ok off a lawn tractor battery for intermittant use.

They work ok, with that little battery, but theres nothing cheap about them, especially the ones with a 2 way valve, 400-450 bucks, might find a used one,..Iam guessin youll need to wait about 3+ minites between uses, depending on the charging capacity of your little motor Eric
