I drove past a Kubota dealer today and popped in for a look see. They had a 3300SU that really caught my eye. Nice unit, nice szie and I really like the stout 33hp number! The plus is this one would fit through my doors like my JD2520 that I want to trade.
I've read alot of positive posts on this tractor. It may be a better fit for me than the L3200......

I'm not sure what you don't like about your 2520, but the B series Kubota's have very little to offer except change in an upgrade from what you have. Your tractor is a bit heavier, and just as powerful in real terms. Sorry to rain on your parade, but that is the way I see it. An L, a Grand L, or a 3000 series would make more sense if you want more tractor.

A big benefit appears to be the 3 range hydro vs my present 2. When I cut high is too high, low is too slow. I also like the fact that it is larger, a bit heavier per the specs and has 6+ more HP too. Don't know how beneficial is actually is, but 6hp seems to be a pretty big improvement. My experience is rather limited here but running a 55" tiller with 33hp would probably be easier than 26? I'm never going to be moving mountains, just working on my 25 acre get away place. Tilling a few 1/4 acre food plots, a large garden, cutting around trees etc.
The L is my first choice, but the 3300 will fit inside now, the L won't until I build a building, which is a fews years out yet.

I do like my 3 range hydro for sure, and I like the ergonomics of the 4wd lever, and several other things about my Kubota. i also like that there are no hoses, and other clutter under mine to catch on things in the woods.

Unless you use a rfm or brush hog...you mentioned cutting around trees...the B3300 does not have a mid pto for a mmm. I just bought a 3300tlb. You would have to go with the B3200 if you intend to use a mmm with a mid pto. same size very small difference in specs.

Tompet;

Just a correction (same size)

The 3200 has smaller tires

All of the B series tractors except the Bxx30's use the 1/4" valve instead of position control for the 3 pt hitch. In this same section ChuckinNH started an informative thread on adjusting it.

My take on the 1/4" valve is it is good for hooking up the implements as it is smooth and can be operated at a slow speed. I am fine with it when I use the box blade or anything I have except the rotary mower. Then the fact that it will not hold the implement at a constant height becomes an issue. If you set the height of the mower about 3" off the ground and start mowing and forget to bump it back up, in 30 minutes of mowing, the front of the mower will be dragging on the ground. I have rigged some chains to keep mine up. But if you are not aware of this issue, you should do some reading on this if you mow much with a rotary mower.

On the B7500 I close the drop valve when I am bushhogging. That keeps it up where I want it.
The position control on the L3830 is MUCH nicer though.

ericher69, actually only the R4 industrial tires offered on the B3300 are larger.
If you order ag (R1: rear 12.4 x16 and 7x12 front) or turf tires (R3: 13.6x16 rear and 24x8.50 front) the B3200 and B3300 share the exact same tire sizes.

In my case I had the R4 industrial tires from the B3200 (12.4 x 16 rears and 23x8.50-14 fronts) swapped out from the larger B3300 R4's (15x19.5 rears and 25x8.5-14 fronts). The switch worked out well for me. I had no need for mid pto (and liked the price differene with not having it) but did want the extra 2hp rear pto of the B3300.

I should have made more clear my reference to size was with the overall tractor itself...except the larger R4 tires. With several small differences in specs due to lack of mid pto on the B3300 and the slightly different power specs tweaked out of it. One point I was told by phone from Kubota Corp. is a slightly different internal rear axle is on the B3300. Overall, they are exactly the same chassis/tractor.

I'm looking at 2 tractors right now n really have not decided between the 3300su or the L3800. i use a zero turn for mowing so mid pto is not a concern. the B series is a little to light for a 4 in 1 set up which is what I'm getting. So that puts to the 3300, no mid pto already has loader stick n valves. I was pretty set on the L3800 but it is big, heavier, heavier frame n width. Don't get me wrong, I like it a lot but don't know if I need that big, only have 5 acres but which ever will be oh so useful. Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.

I have a little over 2 acres and recently went from a B7500 to an L3200. After a few hours it didn't feel much less nimble than the B7500. While it is larger it is a dream to operate. Felt like I moved from a wooden stool to a La-Z-Boy. Tonight after york-raking some grass seed in ahead of the rain I mowed after dark in wet grass, up and down hills and it just chugged right along with the 6' RFM. The bigger tractor doesn't require 4WD to go the same places the B7500 did.
