Very clever idea. I have a middle buster that has a trailer ball on it and use it a LOT since we have several trailers and some have to be moved occasionally since they live in a muddy location.:p Great job!

bullbreaker, my used box blade came with a ball mounted on it the same as yours, I got a neighbor that has one mounted the same way. I questioned him if he added it to it and he said no, it was on it when he bought it..lol.

Maybe they put them on at the factory....I doubt it, but it sure seems to be a standard add on.

I also added a little something to my boxblade. I made a spray rig using a 55 gal drum and 12vt washdown pump. Need to add a rack for garden hose. The pump cost about a $100 and the drum $20.

Thanks for interesting info.
When I bought this BB used from a man on CL,he gave me original receipt from JD dealer. The name on receipt said it was on OX brand.I've never heard of OX but I have heard of Big OX.When I can I'am going to check out this linkhttp://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/attachments/59301-box-blade-photo-comparision-brands.html and see if I see one like it.

BTW make sure your sitting down when you look at! IMHO way overpriced for condition/year of BB,also I think they took the pins off(3 pt.) so they would'nt rust.

I just have to ask, why? It seems to be obvious to everyone else, but I just can’t figure out what possible use it would have.
