Added a little something to my BoxBlade

I just have to ask, why? It seems to be obvious to everyone else, but I just can稚 figure out what possible use it would have.

Good question!
I've never used mine(BB ball hitch).
I assumed it was for a husband needing to move boat/trailer etc. around in yard/farm while his wife was at mall with his truck.:D

I haven't figured it out either....what is the ball hitch used for?
I'm probably buying a BB next week, and have been reading this thread.
Is it to pull another piece of equipment in tandem with the BB?
Can someone explain?

Well, it seems to me it's so you can move a trailer around without dismounting the current attachment. My used rear blade came with a ball mounted on it as well.

Maybe I'm missing something deep here, but that's my 2 cents.

I did the same thing to my box blade. I find it very useful when I need the BB and other stuff to haul a trailer to the work site and not have to change any implements.

I needed to move My trailer the other day and I had this bumper hitch kicking around so I welded it to the box blade. I have a small box trailer I pull the toung into the weeds so I have access to the back of it. My tractor is the only thing I can do that with. Nothing maneuvers better than my Tractor off the road.

Hello Charlie,
That is a very handy hitch you added to your box blade!
I did the same thing last year, except I made a hitch that slides into receptacles and it's fastened with pins. The receptacles were (initially) for my guage wheels. I recently added the same receptacles to Loretta's box blade so she can use the guage wheels or hitch as well. I wrote a thread about it last year here Trailer Hitch Mod
I use it now to even pull my little chain saw cart I recently made! It is very handy and I'm sure you will find it very useful.
