Has anyone called to get a price to add a third rear valve? I was looking and didn't look like it would be to complicated as it looks like it would just tie in beside the ones already on it. Didn't know if anyone has priced out a kit for it from the factory.

I checked on it and they said there isn't one available, i thought the same thing as there is a third slot and would be great for adding a valve to control say rippers on a box blade. If you find out anything different keep us posted.

While the dealers and the US assembly plant say no, obviously the real answer is yes. My thinking is to just get the second valve, need to get some longer through bolts, may have to do some minor modifications to the linkage to work in the 3rd slot.

I don't think that the OEM valves are offered with the float function which is a shame, but it is what it is. :(

Something for you LS owners to look into though.

Well one of my two is a float valve. Yea I think your on the right track thinking stack on on the existing block. Also it has a place for it in the cab. Wonder why its not offered...may be in the future.

That is GREAT news. My impression for the R series tractors was that there was no float option available. So if the XRs have it, that is great.:cool2:

So the thing to do would be to get the complete float function valve and linkage kit. I think the only other thing that you would have to get would be the longer through bolts and a person would be good to go. ;)

The P series has three valves, one being float. I wonder if the XR valves are the same?

I bought my XR3037 and a 3rd function valve installed at the factory before it left town.
I'm not certain who did the work as the cost was listed as part of the purchase.
It was a line item with no Installer mentioned.
It was expensive to have the switch mounted on the joy stick but well worth the cost.
Built into the equipment deal at purchase was a root grapple for my arborist son.
He takes the XR out on work sites for use on massive tree jobs.

If you have one, could you post a pic of your switch on the joy stick? Also if you don't mind, how much was it?

I've misinterpreted your post.
I, at first, thought that you wanted a third function for your front Bucket/Grapple.

Then again, a third function on your joystick can be for what ever you wish it to function.
Mine was purchased through my dealer here in North Florida, now defunct, and my information was that an after marketer
down the street from the production facility in NC installed the switch and the cost?
Gulp...$1100 but believe you me. It's worth every penny to not have to maneuver the lever to my right side
every time I need to close the bale up front.

Now, let's discuss hydraulic fluid flow.
Shall we?

Maybe in another thread. I think THAT conversation would hijack this one.
Hope it helps.
Cheers
