Adding box scraper instead of weight box

Jim, I have the Landpride 54" boxscraper for my 4100. I think that it is just the ideal size for this tractor. I'm very happy with the quality of Landpride equipment (I also have a Landpride grader blade). I made a weight box for the top of my boxscraper and I've added about 200# of steel to the blade. Really adds to the FEL counterweight properties of the blade and help the blade to cut better also. I wouldn't go any larger than a 54" box on the 4100.

I agree it's a great idea. I can't see having a piece of useless equipment hanging on the back end. I did the same as you and got a box blade for the back of my tractor. It works really good plus you have a great implement to do alot of other jobs as well. Depending on how hard you're going to use it KingCutter makes a pretty good one. They sell those at the Farm & Fleet's around here very reasonable. The 54" sounds good or a 6'. I don't think the extra 6" will make much of a difference. Good luck.
