Adding draw hook to FEL

Thanks for the input. I only have 1 chain - it's 3/8". I too would like to see a picture of the "slot" approach.

Mounting the hook upside down along the top seems popular. Doesn't that mean that the bucket has to be extended to use the hook and aren't the cylinders most fragile when extended?

Here is the lot style we use on our buckets. Two aligned with loader arms, not at outside edge of bucket.

Can they be purchased? Will they fit any loader? Any particular angles?

They're available as a part. Because I don't know what your top rail on your bucket looks like I can't say for sure on the fit, however you should be able to make them work. Possible stiffner on top edge? They are a square piece of steel with the cut out (rounded top corners). I think they're about $15 each.

Another source for either the hooks or the weldon slots is awdirect.com. That is where I got my parts. Service was good even though it was a small order.

I stole my design directly from this site, probably from flusher. The only difference was I angled the outer hooks in slightly so there pull is aimed at the middle when they are both used lifting something in the middle. The carabiner style in the center has been very useful.
