B2920 with bar turfs on rear. Using around the yard moving things, dragging and sweeping up dead debris noticed the bar turfs would slip once in awhile with loader on. Take in mind loader will be off for mowing. My question is filling the rears with fluid will stop this problem and help with loader work and winter snowblower but will this put any stress on the drivetrain say in 5-10-15 years of use, also with rimguard will fluid cause rusting on the rims over time - seen that before on old tractors.

I also have a B and have the same issue from time to time. More than likely it will not competly stop your problem. However it will reduce it greatly and add lots of stability. These are light tractors and any weight will help. Im planning on filling my rear just not sure weather to use rim gaurd or washer fluid.
If you are going to fill ur tires theres a neat valve tool at NAPA or TSC that hooks to a garden hose and has a bleeder for air built in.

hope that helps

I think it will help tremendously. I have turfs on my b2920 and have them filled with rimguard. On drive pavement depending on what I'm doing I'm able to basically run out of power before traction (has to be doing something VERY substantial, like pulling something it can't move or pushing into an immovable pile of dirt). In the winter I have good traction in the snow with the turfs and don't find myself slipping when plowing or driving around in the woods, on hills or lawn. The only place I don't think loading helps a ton with is in the mud, but pretty much any tires but AGS are going to struggle in deep mud.

The weight of loaded tires on that machine with rimguard should be about 400 lbs. Since its on the ground it shouldn't strain the axle or drive train any, so I wouldn't worry about that. I do have a BH, and I'm sure the sub-frame weighs a fair amount. The BH is usually off when I'm plowing or doing FEL work unless I want it for ballast. The total BH65 + subframe weighs as much as the tractor itself according to kubota, so that may skew my experience a bit. I don't mow, but driving around even with the FEL and BH on I don't cause any lawn damage as long as I keep it in 2wd.
