Adding grab hooks on front bucket, 2 or 3 hooks?

Pros or cons to adding the bolt on hooks?
I added bolt on hooks at the outside edges of the top and welded up a 2 inch receiver that bolts to the tractor frame for spotting a trailer or heavy pulls. The pull is more in line with the axles. Too easy to bend the top of the bucket with a center hook.

I bought some bolt on hooks from Amazon. They come with reinforcing plates and bolts. I am currently deciding where to locate them on the tractor bucket.

It's easy to lift from the center with 2 side hooks if you have a hook on your chain. Think triangle with the chain end hook in the center.

Yep. And the "load" on the hooks becomes a side load, rather than a straight pull in the direction of the hook load. No big deal if it's a light load.

Yep, that's how I lift heavy loads if I only need one hook!
I'd written in an earlier post (on this thread) about pulling spilt rail fence posts...that's exactly how I rigged the chain...

It should not have to be a light load. If the hooks cant take an side load equal to what they can take straight on then they are substandard or improperly installed. Sorry but it's true and I'm not going to argue it.
I had my Terex 640 14 yrs using the hooks the same way, even lifting the rear off the ground many times against a chained load. Very heavy 14k pound tractor - no hook problems.

No argument here. Simple physics. :)

USA made ones...Support small business and not Bezos and China:

I got your hooks man, I like them a lot. I also like that you engage here, share info and stuff, and contribute...as opposed to just being on here to sell your stuff. :)
