I have a JD 5410 with FEL and mid mount hyd. hookups. I would like to add one or two more hyd. ports to operate a tip and tilt setup on the back. Going thru the dealer will cost $800 to $1000. Is there an easier/cheaper way?
I don't know much about these systems but it seems you could T off of the existing lines as they come out of the pump and run a line to a another valve. Am I off base?

Any tips or advise would be appreciated.

scotd1, try the "search" feature for "Hydraulic Tip 'N Tilt" in the Kubota Owning forum the last 6 months and you'll find some pictures in that thread as well as a lot of discussion. Basically, I'd say your dealer is well within the normal price range. I did mine myself and spent over $800. It's not really complicated, but it is a little more than a T off the existing lines.

Easiest thing to do is to have some hyd. lines made with a male q-coupler fitting on one end, and a female on the other. Run the lines from the existing ports, under the floorboard and over the rear axle, and zip-tie them somewhere at the back. Dozens of our customers have done this to their machines with no ill effects (Providing that you don't need all the front ports at the same time you'd like to use the rear ones).
