Why do you suppose that 4-in-1s don't work so well on wheel loaders? I
assume you mean the very large articulated loaders. It is true that you
don't see 4-in-1s on those machines. No rear attachments, either.
Well they make the loader front heavy so working near a ditch can get hairy :confused2:
If you use a trench push technique when back filling and then open the bucket to empty it ..they do not doze level they tend to dig ...Then you get the up and down....the tuna ville trolley
4 in 1 were made for demo work and wheel tractors don't excel at that job
I'm not saying it can't be done i'm just saying i have run them and i don't care for them for general loader work
But i don't care for duck bill buckets for general loader work either
On articulatory equipment when you turn. .the side on the outside of the turn
tend to dig in deeper because the wheels on that side move further apart
I have run big loaders with ripper bars on the back and a couple with large
box scrapers for close quarter work that a blade can't do...i seen a blade that had a rear mounted box scraper for that reason
And BEE GEE scrapers for general grading and leveling work
there was a guy that mounted a backhoe on an articulator i seen pics of it but never seen it myself and i don't know how well it worked
One i ran had a rock sorting vibratory screen device on the rear so nothing but dirt was placed in a wind row for back filling plastic pipelines or coated pipelines
