Adding Laurin Cab heater issue

I had planned on telling my experience when I was done. But I've come to this group for several issues and I have another. The heater core threads were BSP (british standard pipe) and I got my parts from McMaster Carr and they fit the engine. Thanks to KWentling and rScotty However, I have another question
I'm installing a Laurin cab on a L39 and the heater input hose tubing is on the output side of the engine and vice versa (a hose in each of the corner structural supports) .
So my question is "does anyone think the direction of flow thru a heater core ( flow is horizontal) makes a difference?" Laurin suggests that I cross the hoses under the hood and gave me long enough hose to do it. The heater water circuit has a regulating valve(manual control) on the input side. Otherwise , it is straight to / from the heater core. Laurin says they make that same cab for many models and some are reverse to mine.
I'm stalled right now as I am going to hard pipe plumb around and away from the exhaust header and muffler. Water will flow one way or the other.

I know this is an old post but just in case, the outlet side of the core should be the upper hose connection to encourage trapped air to leave the heater core.

Thanks Dave, I did a shortest hose installation without an under hood crossover. As the installation progressed, I found the bleed valve to be frozen closed, ( or brazed closed) so I added a tee and valve and used a vacuum pump to evacuate the trapped air. Seems ok now, I will know for sure when fall comes and I go for heat. The side mirror design is barely functional. The door opening interferes with the optimum mirror location. I think it will require custom brackets. Tree branches seem to dislodge them on every trip. A rear camera may be less trouble.
