Has anyone here ever added cross links to tire chains? I have a set that has a 4 link spacing. I'd like to add cross links in order to have a 2 link spacing.

There is a tool to spread the ends of the cross links, so that you can move or add them. Going from 4 link to 2 link means alot of work, though. First you need a supply of cross links the exact size to add.
What size are your tires?? It might be cheaper to buy a new 2-link set. There are some good deals on ebay if your tires aren't too tall.
