Adding rear remotes to a Kubota L3240

With all your hydraulic versatility and capabilities, did you ever consider a connection for a hydraulic motor case drain? Common with skidsteers. There are FEL mowers and 3pt hydraulic equipment that need case drains. Even small hydraulic motors can benefit from a case drain. Be an easy, usually small, low flow, unblocked return line to tank.

Been several times thinking a hydraulic motor powered equipment or mechanism would be handy but not having a case drain handy an obstacle. 3/8” flat face QDs?

With only about 8gpm flow I doubt I'll run any motors on this, if the need does arise a case drain is an easy addition. Just have to add a "T" to the return to tank line.

Yes 3/8th QC's, thought about 1/2 but they are kinda bulky and honestly unnecessary for the remotes. If I do a power beyond line I'll make those 1/2.

Holy cow. Nice job. I have a plasma table also. Sure makes custom fab easy. I think yours does a better job on bolt holes than mine does though. I usually have to run a drill bit thru afterwards as I get a slight slope on really small holes.

the thicker the metal, the nicer my cuts.

still, with all the parts and hoses, must have cost some $$$$

i have 2 rear remotes that came standard on mine, but I kind of wish I ordered the 3rd sometimes.

Thank you, I haven't added it up but would guess less then $1k, from kubota it would have been over $2500 and only 3 remotes.

I did already have the diverter from another project so that helped, and I can make up my own hoses which saves some money.

What plasma table do you have? I'm still getting mine dialed in on holes. There a little taper on the smaller ones but not bad, I just oversize the holes slightly to compensate.

Mine is a Precision Plasma LLC, gantry kit running CandCNC Linux CommandCNC with a Hypertherm PM105

I have a Dynatorch 5x10 table And a hypertherm powermax 1000 torch system.
the Last project I did was a side rail system for a flatbed truck. The design work and planning took twice as long as the job. Designing a latching tailgate really took some time.

My artistic side isn't really there yet, so far I stick to light production parts, mostly for trash trucks (the reason I have the table).
One day I hope to get better at the artistic drawing stuff.
I cut this out for my friends wife, she drew it up.

I finally wired up the diverter valve, only took about 3.5years. I was able to design and print a button mount that attaches to the lever. The button is a push to lock/push to unlock and has an indicator that lights up when activated.

I hid the relay and all other wiring under the range selector cover along with the switches/wiring for the work lights.

It'll be nice to be able to fully run my rear blade now, the one remote is always attached to the top link so I have a manual diverter on the blade for the gauge wheel.
