Adding Rear View Mirrors using ClickBond technology

The 3M tape bonds by the exclusion of oxygen. Because of this, the initial high pressure is very important with this tape to make sure, all the oxygen is removed. (I am a retired 3M Labby)

Does cold matter? I want to use it to put flashers on my ROPS. The weight is not a problem or clamping. Just thought it might be too cold outside.

I have two lightweight rearview mirrors I purchased at an auto parts store and mounted on both sides of my tractor's loader mast frame with the sticky foam adhesive tape (its been so long really to tell you what brand tape but most likely was 3M)

This has been easily 10 years or more and my tractor has been out and uncovered in all kinds of weather. I originally posted about these years ago on this forum in some long past rearview mirror thread.

I just took a new photo and immediately realized they were also applied right over the all the OEM safety stickers too... they never came loose either!

.....and don't forget to clean the area that you are bonding to,alcohol works good.

Heating the area with a blow dryer or heat gun helps adhesion too.

M Dragoneggs; nice video and install, glad you revived this thread, I must have missed it the first time. Were you able to tighten them up a little? I am in tight spots & heavy brush all the time and I wouldn't want them moving too much from hits with small branches. Also is that click-bond stuff holding good and do they sell it at Lowes or HD?
First, full disclosure here. I work for for Click Bond. We make speciality adhesive bonded fasteners for the aerospace, naval, and miscellanous other industries. The products are not available in big box stores but you can go to electricalhub.com and buy the studs and fasteners. They are an authorized distributor. Oh and that Click Bond stuff... heck yeah it works! Almost everything flying that has been designed and built in the last twenty years is using it for systems wiring attach. The US Navy uses CB studs to mount three man crew berths, exercise equipment, and all sorts of things where welding is an issue. So I think you will be okay. On the mirrors, you know I have never got around to trying to tighten them. I should because they move easily when bumped. Vibration is not a problem.

Thanks for the update, dragoneggs. I have the mirrors, but haven't installed them yet.
Well?
Sigh, still no update. I don't have any welding or fabrication equipment (or skills, for that matter) and I want to install the mirrors about 6" outboard of any current mounting location. Still looking for a way to fab something up.
